I need to point to things on my iPad so students can see what I’m tapping.

Shouldn’t I just use my document camera and put the iPad under the document Camera so they can see what I’m tapping? You could, but your iPad is already a document camera anyway. Using Spotlight Video allows the teacher to select which person (image) should be the focus of attention on everybody’s screen (instead of letting Zoom decided based on who’s speaking]. Most of the time, that would be the teacher. Sometimes, it might be a student. Other times, it should be your iPad so it can be used as a Document Camera.
