Kaetlyn, I loved your overall message of reading being an immersive experience, for enjoyment and even for well-being. Reading opens new worlds that you maybe never would have experienced otherwise, which can be such a entertaining and even shocking thing. I fully understand what you were referencing with Percy Jackson, as that series also impacted me like no other, and I felt as if I had formed a connection with it. What I love about a good book series is the attachment you form with it, and sometimes the anticipation of the next addition. I noticed you also said reading helps ground you in more difficult times, while additionally being an opportunity to learn and find growth. Something I noticed unique to your literacy narrative is the reference to self-improvement books, which are often not mentioned enough in reading, and I believe it can help improve your mindset and see new perspectives, which I think reading is meant for. I hope to try to read more of those as a transition back to regular reading, and I would be happy to take recommendations. Finally, I wanted to say I admire your constant flow of books and your curiosity, and the way reading is interwoven into your life. It shows to be a support for you, and I think that’s wonderful.
